Beacon Hill is an inclusive school where students regardless of their strengths and weaknesses are included as part of the school community.

 
The special needs department caters for 21 students in the learning support program and children identified with learning difficulties within the mainstream classes. Special needs teachers and assistants plan and work collaboratively with class teachers to enhance the learning of all students.
 
Children are encouraged to access all programs within the school, however they may also participate in some of the following programs depending on their individual needs:
 
  • Withdrawal literacy and/or numeracy groups
  • Perceptual Motor Program
  • Fine Motor programs
  • Social Skills and Life Skills Programs
