Dear Parents, Family and Friends,

I hope you were able to have some quality time with your children during the mid-term break. It is good to have the students back in school and I am pleased to see that our Year 1 children have quickly settled back into their routines. I also hope that you have not been too disrupted during today’s typhoon.

This week we began our brand new House System. The children should all have received their wristbands and log ins for the exclusive app designed and created by Mr Lowe. We will share the results from this first week in Monday’s assembly.

I have had some queries regarding uniform and whether the students can wear non-uniform items such as coats and jackets. The simple answer is ‘no’! We have a school uniform that provides everything that is required. Please do not send your child to school wearing non-uniform items. There may be times when some items are out of stock in the PTA shop and we are working hard with our suppliers to improve the time between placing orders and them being delivered to the PTA. We have had some very rainy days this week and I understand that some parents have complained to the Bus Escorts that their children have got wet on the way home. I observed the bus lines this week and there were very few children who had any kind of protection against the rain, so it is not surprising that they got wet. May I suggest having a lightweight rain coat packed in your child’s bag which can quickly be put on when they may not have the school jacket? Your help with this is greatly appreciated.

School Photos will be taken next Monday and Tuesday (with opportunities for sibling photos on Friday). It is especially important that the children are looking their best in the uniform on these days. Further information can be found later in this Newsletter.

Box of Hope

This year we will again be supporting the ‘Box of Hope’ appeal. We ask for children to bring in a wrapped shoe box full of exciting gifts which will be delivered to children in need in other regions of Asia. Please refer to this website for specific details – www.boxofhope.org. Your child will have brought home an A5 sticker that can be put on the donated box before bringing it to school.

All boxes need to be brought to school by Monday 31st October.
