Dear Parents,

This morning 3F shared their class assembly with the school. Sadly I was at ESF Centre so missed it, however I did get a sneak peek yesterday morning in one of their practises. I am sure they did a wonderful job this morning and that their parents and the school enjoyed it. Well done to 3F and thank you to Ms Farago, Ms Lau, Mr Gibson, Mrs Kashish and Ms Kannis for their work with the children.

This week we hosted two visiting team members from the International Baccalaureate (IB) for the 5 year evaluation visit. They were highly impressed with the school – the students, staff and parents. They will be preparing their final report for us which will contain commendations and recommendations which will support us with our continued drive for improvement. The report should be with us in around 6 to 8 weeks and I will share the major findings at that time. I would like to thank the whole community, but especially the staff who have worked so hard throughout this process.

Our International Food Fair was a great success again this year and you will have read the PTA report in the previous newsletter including the results of the raffle draw. The PTA are still working on the final figures but I understand that we have raised around HK$150,000. Thank you for your most kind and generous support.

We are now approaching the time of year when the temperature is increasing and also when we may have heavy rain. Please ensure your child has a named BHS hat with them each day so that they can play outside. Also you may wish to refer to our ‘Bad Weather’ procedures on our website – https://www.beaconhill.edu.hk/bad-weather-procedures/
