Dear Parents,

This week Year 6 shared their Exhibition with their families, other classes in BHS, Year 5 students from Kowloon Junior School and VIPs from ESF Centre, Island School and KGV. The children did an amazing job, working tirelessly during the last eight weeks. The result was outstanding. Thank you to all the teachers and Educational Assistants at BHS who supported the children, the parents and a special mention to the Year 6 team who never fail to ensure the children really engage in the process and reach their potential. Click HERE for photos.

Today 4M shared their assembly with us and their parents. It was a wonderful experience with the children informing us and explaining how changes of the Earth and its atmosphere can impact the natural world. They had created their own videos, performed a song and a dance and the visual demonstrations of volcanoes, tornadoes and other natural phenomenon was a really wonderful way to help explain how and why these events occur. Well done to the adults who supported the children, especially Mrs McKinnon and of course, well done to 4M!

The weather is now quite warm and thankfully we have seen the sun during the last couple of weeks. We have a ‘no hat, no play’ policy at BHS so please can you help make sure your child has a BHS cap, with their name clearly marked on it, so that they may play out on the playground if they wish to.

From today the car park will be for staff members and other registered visitors only. We have tried to be accommodating in allowing others to park whilst waiting to pick up children from after school clubs but unfortunately some drivers have been less than polite when asked to move to allow staff members to leave. There was also an accident this week when a driver reversed out of the car park into Ede Road and hit a motorcyclist. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Achievements Beyond School

Natalee Evans (5A) was awarded ‘Best and Fairest’ U12 girls rugby player for the 2015-16 rugby season by her rugby club, The Flying Kukris. This was the third year in a row she has won this award making it a superb achievement. She was also presented with an engraved ceremonial Kukris Knife for being selected for the Hong Kong Peninsula Dragons. This is a fantastic achievement and shows Natalee’s determination to do her best. Well done Natalee.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.
