Please Support “Enough Plastic”

Dear Parents,

Non-profit organisation EcoDrive has teamed up with The New Youth Energy Think Tank in what promises to be the biggest green campaign Hong Kong has ever seen.

In the lead up to May 30 2019 Hong Kong’s first ever No Single-Use Plastic Awareness Day. EcoDrive and The New Youth Energy Think Tank have launched the “Enough Plastic” campaign in order to tackle the growing issue of single-use plastic, which plays a huge part in polluting our planet.

As EcoDrive co-founder Emily Lam-Ho said: “It takes 20 days to break a habit, so here’s to hoping that by the end of our campaign, you will have cut out some form of plastic.”

Please take 1 minute to watch the Enough Plastic Campaign Video.

We would love if you could support this campaign next Thursday 30th May 2019 and help make sure that your child has a plastic-free snack and lunch.

Dear Parents,

Following on from our Mother/Daughter and Father/Son evening, our Year 6 students will be having a couple of in-class sessions on ‘Living and Growing’.  In these sessions, they will be shown some educational videos which cover the theme of Puberty, followed by class discussions.  Please contact me at susan.chung@bhs.edu.hk if you would like to borrow the DVD to view at home beforehand stating your child’s name and class.

Kind regards,

Susan Chung

Rehearsals continue for our production of ‘Cinderella & Rockerfella.’

The children have shared their ideas, knowledge and thoughts about the features of pantomime to help gain a better understanding and make our performance successful. Learning Contracts have been chosen and students have begun to inquire into a variety of areas. These tasks will deepen our understanding of fairy tale stories, theatrical performance as well as the elements of a production. They will allow us the opportunity to look into a variety of new learning and then they’ll decide on how to present it. A lot of the tasks lend themselves towards props, costumes, advertisements and the technical side of putting together our production.

Golden Book Certificates

6D – Owen To

6H – Evans Wong / Kanna Takayama

6Y – Yvaine Wong
