Central Idea

Many elements combine to create a theatrical performance

Next week, we will focus on both Acts 1 and 2, starting to put all the components together. We will develop dances for the songs, movement around the stage and hopefully some practise using head microphones and props. Learning contracts will be ongoing in the classroom and children will be liaising with another to manage props, costumes and advertising for the show.

Number Maths

Pattern & Function

An inquiry into…

Algebraic expressions to record the rules for patterns

The use of brackets and order of operations to write number sentences

Continuing and creating sequences involving whole numbers, fractions and decimals

As part of their learning contracts, Year 6 will cover a range of Language inquiries. Some may choose to write their own fairy tale story, you might compare different characters from similar stories or you might look into the language features of advertising our production! We look forward to seeing what you create.

Read over your scripts, start learning your lines for production and have a think about any costumes/ items you might be able to bring in from home!
