Year 2 Update Wk 22

Library Book Bag
Please make sure your child has their book bag and library books on the correct day.

Daily Collection

Children are taken by their class teacher to the front stairs at 2:55pm daily, to allow them to leave the building in a safe manner by 3:00pm.

Thank you for joining us at Sports Day today. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we all really appreciated your support. We were delighted to see the children trying their best, having fun and being so supportive of one another.

Your child received their latest spelling words yesterday and our next spelling test will be on Friday 26th February.

Reading

Children continue to bring home one book per night to read with an adult. If they do not complete the book in one night, they are able to bring this home to read the following night. Please ensure that you are leaving a comment about your child’s reading in their reading journal. Teachers are in the process of assessing children and therefore the colour of their reading may change.

Fruity Friday

Every week at Beacon Hill we have ‘Fruity Friday’. Children are asked to bring a piece of fruit as their healthy snack. We will let you know in advance if and when PTA will be selling fruit so that your child can bring in money then.
