All children need a hat for break, lunch times and PE lessons. Please ensure they are clearly labelled. NO HAT, NO PLAY!

Please remember that we have a no nut policy at BHS due to some children having severe allergies. This includes peanut butter sandwiches and nuts in cookies or cakes.

The children have started their inquiry into forces. Mr Thompson worked with each class, involving the children in some thought provoking science investigations. Ask your child about some of the experiments he did with the children.

Next week we will unpack the central idea and inquire into forces through further tuning in activities. The children will continue to learn about the different types of forces.

The lines of inquiry are:

  • Types of forces (form)
  • Forces affect the motion of objects (function/connection)
  • Scientific process (function)

Next week the children will be focusing on the comprehension key of visualising. We will continue to work with the children by encouraging them to create pictures in their minds when reading a text. Ask your child to tell you about this strategy.
