We have also begun to think about some different examples of migration through stories and listening to our wonderful guest speakers supported by Christian Action. Their experiences were extremely thought provoking and will provide a valuable reference point as we begin inquiring further into the issues around human migration. We have also begun our arts rotations with some classes starting their pottery, music and drama sessions.

Our maths investigations have continued and we are developing our multiplicative thinking. The main focus being to develop our confidence to tackle new situations and recording our many tries at getting to a final answer.

 UOI

Migration can have an impact on people and society

Lines of Inquiry:

  1. The reasons why people migrate (causation)
  2. Migration throughout history (causation)
  3. The challenges, risks and opportunities of migration (perspective)

We will be reflecting and thinking about the information given to us by our visitors. Beginning to connect our thoughts and wonderings to the central idea.  Children will continue to be exposed to different migrations through stories and talking with peers and teachers about their own experiences.

You could also talk with family members and friends about their different migration experiences and share what was heard in Fridays visitor talks.

Please remind children to bring their book bags to school on their library days so that they are borrowing library books on a weekly basis. Library books should be carried inside a book bag to keep them nice and safe
